Depth as a Design Primitive

In traditional web design, z-index was a hack. In spatial design, it's a dimension. We need to think about how elements stack, occlude, and reveal each other in 3D space.

Using React Three Fiber, we can declaratively build scenes that react to state just like DOM elements. But the performance cost is real. Optimization is key.
